Caesar Salad with Nutty Krust Croutons

Caesar Salad with Nutty Krust Croutons

Serves 4

How To Make


  • 2 thick Nutty Krust heels (cubed)
  • 3 tbsp olive oil, plus a little extra for frying
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • 100g parmesan cheese, coarsely grated
  • 50g double cream
  • 1 cos lettuce, washed and torn into pieces
  • 30g black olives
  • 4 slices of quality back bacon grilled
  • 2 cooked chicken breasts


Slice chicken and bacon and place in a large
salad bowl with olives, lettuce and freshly ground
black pepper. Place the bread cubes in an oven
proof frying pan and drizzle liberally with olive oil.

Toss bread until well coated and starting to
brown. Transfer pan to medium heated oven until
dry, golden and crisp (about 10 mins).

To make the dressing, add cream to the grated
parmesan. Stir and pour over salad. Mix well with
clean hands and add croutons.

Toss again and serve at once. Simple perfection!
