Bread is part of British lifestyle and is it’s not wrong to say that we cannot live without it.
By its composition, bread is one of the most nutritious products for your body and is the best value for money food you can eat. It has become an indispensable part for a healthy diet.

Bread contains many of the nutrients and build blocks necessary for normal growth and development and good health: full of Iron, protein, Vitamins and Energy, bread is also the most important source of fibre in the diet.
- Protein: is essential for growth, maintenance and repair of the body. As many sources of protein such as meat and dairy products have high fat contents bread is one of the most sensible choices of protein available.
- Energy: bread is rich in complex carbohydrates which should form the base of a healthy, balanced diet and which are an important source of energy. Carbohydrates are a valuable source of energy for our body.
- Iron: is a mineral essential for healthy blood and circulation.
- B Vitamins: B vitamins available from bread include thiamine, nicotinic acid and riboflavin - these can contribute to healthy eyes, skin and nervous system.
- Fibre: bread, especially wholemeal, is an important source of dietary fibre. Fibre contributes to healthy gut and bowels, and because it also contributes ton satiety can help weight control.
