This summer the Irish FA’s Grassroots Team will be running over 50 week long soccer schools with venues all over the country.

Each Nutty Krust Summer Soccer School will be packed full of quality coaching and fun games and will be structured in a way that allows children of all abilities to take part and enjoy their Summer Soccer School experience.

As an added bonus, there are 50 places up for grabs in this year’s Search for a Star programme, exclusively open to children taking part in the Soccer Schools.

The Nutty Krust Summer Soccer Schools are open to all children aged 5-14 and no previous footballing experience is necessary.  For a full list of this Summer Soccer Schools, information on the daily schedule and to book a place visit

Michael Murphy, Irwin's Commercial Controller, said:

NORTHERN Ireland manager Michael O’Neill is calling on all budding young footballers to get ready for a summer full of football fun!  The international boss has given his backing to the Irish FA's Nutty Krust Summer Soccer Schools Programme, which will run during July and August.

Co-ordinated by the Irish FA’s Grassroots Development Officers and staffed by qualified coaches, the Soccer Schools are the ideal way to get your children active over the summer months.  The Soccer Schools will be run at venues across the country and will be attended by thousands of boys and girls.

“The Irish FA’s Nutty Krust Summer Soccer Schools provide a great opportunity for boys and girls to have fun and develop their football throughout the summer,” said the Northern Ireland manager.  “The Soccer Schools are a fantastic opportunity for aspiring players to get top quality coaching, develop their skills and a great way to meet and make new friends.”

Irish FA Head of Grassroots Football, Lee Carroll added: “The Irish FA’s Nutty Krust Summer Soccer Schools are specifically designed  to get the best out of the players during the week with age appropriate coaching sessions to develop such skills as dribbling, passing, turns and shooting etc.  At this year’s courses 50 children will be selected to attend the annual Irish FA ‘Search for a Star’ event, which will see the children compete in a series of skills challenges with the chance of becoming an Irish FA sponsored player and winning a year’s worth of training gear
