With the Gaelic Football being such a popular sport both here in Northern Ireland and in the South, Irwin's sports sponsorship intiatives wouldn't be the same without the GAA.
And with Irwin's supporting grassroots sport within the province, Annaclone GAC Under 8'sfootball team were the first beneficiaries of the Company's GAA support.
Supporting the under age teams is vital for kids to grow up in a fun environment whilst learning the skills of the game with kids of similar ages, regardless of levels of ability.
Donal McArdle, coach of the Under 8's team, said "Getting Irwin's Bakery involved with our small team has great benefits that I think fit both companies. We have gained a tremendous amount of support through sports equipment and bibs as well as bread products and help in fundraising. And I think Irwin's have gained a little more exposure within the local area as well as supporting their initiative of aiding grassroots sport here in Northern Ireland.
